Oniro was established in 2002 by Harrie van den Berg. Over the following years, Oniro grew into a key supplier for waterproof upholstery fabric for the furniture industry. As of January 1st 2009, we became the Benelux distributer for the Danish supplier Gabriel – a major step in the development of Oniro Textiles. Creating a complete assortment, the Gabriel collection allowed the practical contract upholstery fabrics to be extended with a wide variety of woven upholstery fabrics.
In December 2010 Richard Leliveld took the reins from Harrie van den Berg. Oniro’s unwavering course continued, our commitment to realizing our goals and ambitions as strong as ever. The continual development of our Niroxx collection. The addition of the Fabrixx and Vixx collections. And perhaps our greatest achievement to date: the development of our own innovative leatherette collection and the launch of PUxx! PUxx has completed the Oniro Textiles collection, an indestructible PU leatherette with unique specifications, suited to almost any application you can think of and available in a wide range of beautiful colors. These developments together have brought us to where we are today.
In addition to the sale of the Oniro Textiles collection in the Benelux, we are now also active in a number of other European countries.
